Boston Compressed

boston compression

Nikon D70 18-70mm at 1/100, f4.5

Location: Newbury Street
Distance: 1.97 miles, 3.17 km
Transportation: Foot

They say that a long telephoto lens gives a compressed effect. I don't really have a long telephoto, but I tried for the compressed look anyways. My plan was to create an image that was mostly colour and shape, without much sense of perspective. This image was taken on Newbury street, the bottom set of rooftops belong to stores on Newbury, the middle set are buildings along Boylston, and finally, the Prudential building towers in the background.
